1996 Cabo 35 Express

This 1996 Cabo 35 Express is a fiberglass sportfish built for serious offshore fishing and family cruising. Twin Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engines rated at 435 horsepower each drive the boat, with approximately 4,150 hours logged. The 35-foot hull has a 13-foot beam and receives full engine room access via cockpit deck lifts and a hatch.

The helm features dual 12-inch Garmin GPSMAP XSV displays, Garmin xHD radar, autopilot, VHF radio, and a Fusion stereo system. A tower carries an additional 8-inch Garmin GPSMAP display, Standard Horizon Explorer VHF, and water temperature gauge. Trim tabs, compass, Lewmar Pro-Series 700 windlass with controls at helm and bow, and an ACR searchlight round out navigation and boat handling equipment. The hardtop includes a 4-sided isinglass enclosure with a chart table on the dash.

The cockpit layout prioritizes fishing with large in-deck fishboxes featuring macerators, a transom livewell, tuna door, tackle center with drawers, 13 rocket launchers, rod holders, bait prep station with sink, outriggers stored off the boat, and washdown systems for fresh and raw water. Under-gunwale storage holds gaffs and lines, with integrated compartments throughout for gear and safety equipment. A trolling valve was installed on the port transmission.

The cabin accommodates four and includes galley space with microwave and cooktop, air conditioning and heating, hot water heater, AC/DC refrigerator, and TV/DVD. One enclosed head serves the boat. Recent work includes new Northern Lights generator and new A/C units in 2025, fresh bottom paint and running gear service in 2025, engine service in 2024 with new water pumps and belt replacements, and Garmin electronics installed in 2023.
