The 1996 Grady-White Islander 268 is a 26-foot offshore sportfish built on a rigid foam-filled hull with fiberglass construction. Designed with safety and fishing capability as core priorities, it features a deep 28-inch cockpit, full transom, and non-skid walkaround decks. The boat weighs 4,660 pounds without engines or fuel and spans 8.5 feet across the beam. Twin Yamaha 300 hp outboards power the boat, paired with hydraulic trim tabs and hydraulic steering for responsive handling. The 206-gallon fuel capacity supports extended offshore runs.

The cockpit is organized around serious fishing with horizontal rod racks, cockpit toe rails, and abundant tackle storage. The aft section spans 57 square feet with over 300 quarts of insulated storage with overboard drains. The starboard fish box holds 186 quarts, while the port side divides into beverage and catch compartments. Custom cushions on the raised fish boxes provide additional seating, and a molded stern bench seat, removable livewell box, and transom door with swim platform complete the fishing layout. A stainless steel boarding ladder folds flush into the platform.

Below, a single cabin provides comfortable cruising accommodations with forward V-berths, an enclosed head with shower, and a full galley featuring a butane stove and refrigerator. A drop-down table between the berths converts to a double berth and stores beneath. The pressurized freshwater system holds 32 gallons and supplies the galley and head. Helm comfort includes a dedicated seat with a lockable electronics box and a port bench seat that adjusts for passenger comfort or rough-water passages. Large, lockable dry-storage compartments sit beneath both helm and bench seats.

The boat is rigged for serious fishing and cruising with Raymarine radar and Axiom multifunction display with autopilot, VHF radio, four Cannon downriggers, Traxstech rod holders, outriggers, and planer board reels. A full cabin enclosure, travel cover, and camper cover are included. Solar panels mounted on the cabin roof support onboard power alongside shore power capabilities. An AC/DC refrigerator and raw-water washdown system round out the equipment.
