1996 Hatteras 70 Sport Deck Motor Yacht

This 1996 Hatteras 70 Sport Deck Motor Yacht, designed by Jack Hargrave, is a fiberglass motor yacht built around a four-stateroom, four-head layout. The main salon spans the full beam, and an enclosed flybridge with hardtop extends the usable living space. Forward exterior decks add to the open feel throughout the yacht.

Two 12V92 electronic Detroit Diesel engines totaling 2,220 horsepower drive the yacht through ZF gears. The twin powerplants logged 2,748 hours on the port side and 2,813 on the starboard side at time of survey. She operates economically at displacement speeds and is capable of planing speeds to 20 knots. Bow and stern thrusters paired with NAIAD active fin stabilizers smooth the handling and ride. Two Onan 21.5 kW generators supply shore power when anchored, with a Cruise/RO watermaker delivering 60 gallons per hour.

Recent service work includes complete maintenance on both main engines—oil changed to synthetic blend, new filters, fuel filters, Racors, impellers, and zincs. The port generator logged 1,912.5 hours and the aft generator 2,411.5 hours, with both receiving heat exchanger rebuilds and fresh belts during the most recent service cycle.
