1996 Hatteras 82 Convertible

This 1996 Hatteras 82 Convertible is a Skybridge-configured motoryacht built for both comfort and offshore fishing capability. Twin MTU diesel engines produce 3,600 horsepower and cruise at 20 knots, with a maximum speed of 25 knots. The boat spans 82 feet with a 21-foot beam, offering substantial volume and a commanding presence.

The three-level interior accommodates four cabins and six heads. The main deck features an expansive salon with mezzanine and large windows, opening to a full galley with Sub-Zero refrigeration, Miele cooktop, convection oven, and wine cooler. The enclosed Sky Lounge on the upper level provides a climate-controlled command center with excellent sightlines and seating. Below deck, the full-beam owner's stateroom includes a king berth and ensuite with tub and shower. A VIP cabin forward has a centerline queen berth, two additional guest cabins each have ensuite heads, and a dedicated crew cabin with private head accesses the engine room.

Mechanical systems include twin Kohler 40kW generators installed in 2022, Cruisair chiller systems, a watermaker, bow thruster, hydraulic steering, and trim tabs. The fuel filtration, oil-change system, and dual air compressors support extended operations. A fire suppression system and upgraded tool station are included.

Fishing and deck equipment comprise a Maxwell windlass with 280 feet of stainless chain, Marquipt davit with 17-foot Wahoo tender and Honda 90hp outboard, Rupp outriggers, fighting chair, baitwell, in-deck boxes, tackle center, Eskimo ice maker, and rod holders. The swim platform and transom door facilitate water access, while FlexTeak and underwater lighting complete the setup. The MTU engines were installed in 2001; the exterior received full Awlgrip paint in 2013, electronics were updated in 2018, and interior soft goods and entertainment equipment were refreshed in 2018.
