1996 Moody 36 CC

The Moody 36 CC is a 1996 center cockpit cruising sailyacht built by Marine Projects UK to a Bill Dixon design. Her solid fiberglass hull with integral keel and reinforced hull-to-deck joint reflects the build quality Moody was known for during this era. The conservative, well-proportioned rig is set up for easy handling, with all lines led back to the cockpit and Lewmar sheet winches within reach. A Volvo Penta saildrive engine with a two-blade prop provides auxiliary power, and an electric anchor winch with chain assists in anchoring.

The center cockpit layout offers shelter and visibility while freeing up generous space below. The aft owner's cabin features a double berth and direct access to the head. A forward cabin provides additional sleeping space, and the main saloon includes a large round settee. The galley is positioned along the side with an oven, fridge, and extensive locker and drawer storage. The single head is equipped with a marine toilet installed in 2024.

Navigation and seamanship equipment includes Raymarine and Raytheon systems with autopilot and VHF radio. Two sails are aboard: the genua dates from 2005, and a double-spreader mast carries a Furlex 200S furler. A Webasto EVO Airtop heating system was recently installed. Battery banks were replaced in 2023 with three 10 Ah units. A side-mounted electric bowthrust on its own battery aids maneuvering. The boat shows her age and would benefit from ongoing maintenance and cosmetic attention.
