1996 Ocean Yachts 48 Super Sport

The 1996 Ocean Yachts 48 Super Sport is a fiberglass convertible powered by twin 1250-horsepower Detroit Diesel engines, capable of 28 knots at full throttle and cruising comfortably at 22 knots. The hull features a rakish profile with pronounced bow flare and deeper forefoot, delivering a smoother ride. At 48 feet by 16 feet, the boat combines a large flybridge with abundant seating, a spacious cockpit with in-deck fish box and livewell, and wide side decks throughout.

Below, the layout centers on three staterooms and two heads. The master is positioned amidship to port with an ensuite head and shower. Forward, the guest stateroom features a centerline queen bed and access to a guest head and shower. The third stateroom sits amidship on the starboard side with a sunken double bed, pilot berth, and hanging locker. The galley is located topside with teak and holly flooring, under-counter refrigerator and freezer, two-burner stovetop, and convection microwave. A starboard-side dinette adjoins, and the main salon features an L-shaped sofa, barrel chair, and wet bar with ice maker. Washer and dryer are fitted in a hall closet.

Recent work includes a full bottom paint and running gear treatment with Propspeed applied in August 2025, new through-hulls and seacocks installed, rebuilt AC pump with new hoses, both motors rebuilt, fresh water macerator toilets installed with new plumbing and sealed old through-hulls, updated LED interior lighting throughout, and a 2014 Cummins Onan 9KW generator. The hull carries a full Palmetto blue paint with white topsides. Engine room access is via the cockpit; additional flybridge and cockpit controls are fitted.
