1996 Sunstar 16x78

This 1996 Sunstar widebody houseboat measures 78 feet long with a 16-foot beam and aluminum hull. Power comes from twin Mercruiser 5.7L engines rated at 540 horsepower combined, with approximately 870 hours on them. The outdrives were serviced in spring 2022. A 20 kilowatt Westerbeke generator provides onboard power, with roughly 4,200 hours logged.

The boat features four bedrooms including a master with a king bed, two heads, and a full galley with solid surface countertops and new appliances. A stack washer and dryer are installed for onboard laundry. The interior has been extensively remodeled with new furnishings throughout.

Deck and exterior equipment includes bow and stern thrusters, a Microcommander remote control system, a fiberglass party top, and Garmin GPS units at both the upper and lower helms. The hull design includes extra depth. Recent work includes new roof gel coat applied this summer, new exterior carpet, and a nearly new front enclosure. The boat is built for a navigable waterway.
