1996 Tiara Yachts 4000 Express

This 1996 Tiara 4000 Express is a 40-foot fiberglass mid-cabin cruiser powered by twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3 diesel engines, each producing 420 horsepower. The engines have logged only 1450 hours and run at a cruising speed of 23 knots with a top speed of 28 knots. The boat carries a 9-kilowatt Northern Lights generator and is equipped with a bow thruster, trim tabs, and dripless shaft seals.

The interior accommodates two cabins and two heads, with the salon offering seating for eight and sleeping capacity for six using a convertible dinette. The galley features a teak and holly cabin sole, and headroom throughout reaches 6 feet 6 inches. The helm is fully enclosed with new upholstery added in 2022, and the bimini and aft cockpit are both fully enclosed with new covers. An open transom features extended swim platform access with rollers for a tender.

Major maintenance and upgrades completed in 2022 include a new bow thruster with dedicated battery and charger, rebuilt turbos, new exhaust risers and heat exchangers, new helm and cockpit upholstery, and new salon upholstery. In February 2026, the bottom received a fresh job, new dripless shaft seals were installed, and new cutlass bearings were fitted. New batteries were added in February 2025. The engine room includes spare props, and spare handrails were added to the deck for safety.
