The Tides 27 is a fiberglass express cruiser with a design that reflects Carolina boatbuilding tradition—a flared bow, clean lines, and proportions that suggest a custom build. At 27 feet with a 9.5-foot beam, she combines the handling and efficiency of a day boat with genuine overnight capability. Twin Yanmar diesel engines, each 170 horsepower, power the boat to a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 28 knots. The engines have accumulated approximately 4,036 hours of use and are noted for their durability and fuel economy.
Below deck, the forward cabin houses a V-berth with rod storage, a hanging locker, and an enclosed head, making the boat suitable for overnight trips or extended cruising. The cockpit is spacious and open, designed equally for fishing or entertaining, while the helm provides excellent sightlines and weather protection. Navigation and electronics have been updated with modern Simrad systems.
The hull is solid fiberglass construction built to last, and the boat reflects consistent, methodical maintenance throughout its service life. Tides 27s are no longer in production, making well-preserved examples increasingly uncommon.
