1996 Viking 47 Convertible

The 1996 Viking 47 Convertible is a fiberglass sportfishing convertible powered by twin MAN diesel engines delivering 1,360 horsepower. She cruises at 17 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 29 knots, combining serious offshore capability with comfortable accommodation for extended cruising.

Below deck, two cabins and two heads provide sleeping and sanitary facilities. The salon features new wood flooring and cabinetry with refreshed upholstery completed in early 2025. The galley is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and induction stovetop. Electronics include dual Garmin 7612 multifunction displays, a Garmin 7610 MFD, Fantom GMR radar, ICOM VHF radio, fishfinder with transducer, and Simrad autopilot. A JL Audio system provides premium sound throughout.

The cockpit is laid out for sportfishing with a freezer, livewell, and generous storage. On-deck equipment includes a watermaker, Starlink connectivity system, and new anchor windlass. A tender package comprises an inflatable dinghy with 8-horsepower Mercury four-stroke outboard.

Recent maintenance completed May through June 2025 included fresh bottom paint, serviced propellers and shafts, full mechanical service on both main engines and generator, new sacrificial zincs, and propeller work. The boat is supported by a comprehensive electronics and mechanical infrastructure suited to both offshore sportfishing and extended cruising.
