The 1997 Carver 350 Mariner is a 36-foot fiberglass cruiser built around a single-level floor plan and an unusually spacious interior. Twin Crusader gasoline engines deliver 660 horsepower, powering the boat to a maximum speed of 30 knots with a cruising speed of 22 knots. The 12.75-foot beam supports a full-width salon and accommodates a 6'4" headroom throughout much of the interior.
The main cabin features a U-shaped dinette to port, a settee to starboard, and an offset double berth in the forward stateroom. The head compartment includes a separate shower stall. The design elevates the side decks above the cabin windows, creating elevated walkways that lead to the flying bridge rather than down to the cockpit. Two molded stairways provide access from the cockpit to the fully enclosed bridge, which houses the helm station, a wet bar, port and starboard lounges, and an aft bench seat. Engine access is from under the cockpit sole.
