1997 Catalina 36 MkII

This 1997 Catalina 36 MkII is a moderate-displacement cruising sailboat built around a proven, sea-kindly hull design. The fiberglass boat spans 36 feet with an 11.92-foot beam and features a traditional trunk cabin layout with a spacious cockpit. Power comes from a 35-horsepower Universal diesel engine with a cruising speed of 7 knots.

The interior holds two private cabins and one head. The aft cabin features a large athwartship double berth, hanging locker, and bureau. The forward owner's cabin is well ventilated and includes private access to the head. Storage throughout is extensive, with numerous drawers, lockers, and bins designed for cruising provisions and gear. The galley is laid out in a U-shape with a solid surface countertop, centered double sinks for proper drainage underway, a large refrigerated ice box, and a gimbaled stainless steel propane stove with oven.

Fresh water capacity includes one 50-gallon tank forward dedicated to the head, and two 50-gallon tanks for general use. The boat is equipped with an upgraded folding propane and carries one asymmetrical furling sail and one 155 headsail. New cushions have been added, and extra original cushions are available with the boat. The hull's gel coat remains in excellent condition. The bottom was painted four years ago, and the motor has been serviced annually with all fluids changed.
