This 1997 Contender 31 Open is a fiberglass center console powered by twin Mercury V8 engines producing 600 horsepower combined. The boat reaches a top speed of 63 mph and cruises comfortably at 45 mph. It measures 31 feet in length with a 9.4-foot beam and carries approximately 300 gallons of fuel capacity.

The layout is purpose-built for fishing and diving. The boat features 43 rod holders, two live wells with dual pumps each, and custom tackle storage integrated into a leaning post with wraparound seating. Additional fishing amenities include a custom tackle table positioned over the live wells and twelve gaff or marine broom holders. A swim platform and ladder accommodate diving operations, with ample gear storage throughout. A front kill box provides insulated cooler space.

Helm and crew accommodations include a custom removable cushioned bench with backrest and a helm seat with wraparound railing. The cabin area offers substantial cooler space for extended outings. Electronics are comprehensive: twin Garmin units including a new 1242XSV GPS/fish finder combo, open array radar, autopilot, and fish mapping with satellite capability. Audio includes JL speaker and amp systems with a new Fusion radio headset. Additional features include GHOST security tracking, dual electric horns, multiple USB charging connections, underwater lighting, under-gunnel lighting, thermal camera, and front spreader light.

The engines carry approximately 1,300 hours of documented service history. New fuel tanks were installed, along with new raw water and fresh water hoses. The boat includes a trailer that has been maintained professionally and serviced recently.
