1997 Freedom 45

The Freedom 45 is a 45-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built in 1997, representing the final and most refined example of the line. Powered by a single 75-horsepower Yammer diesel engine, she cruises at 7 knots with a maximum speed of 8 knots. The hull spans 13.5 feet across the beam, delivering a stable platform with comfortable motion underway.

The interior features varnished cherry cabinetry throughout, accented by stainless steel opening ports with tempered glass and a thoughtful three-tier lighting scheme including night and indirect fixtures. A custom integral drip rail runs below the ports, following the deck sheer-line. The boat sleeps six: a V-berth forward with private access to the forward head and shower, a queen berth aft with a private en-suite and separate stall shower, plus convertible berths in the main salon. Storage is extensive, with drawers and lockers distributed throughout both cabins and the passageway.

The saloon anchors the living spaces, with a large centerline dining table that expands for entertaining, generous L-shaped settee seating to starboard, and an entertainment center with television and DVD. The galley to port features a three-burner Force 10 stove, deep stainless steel sink with integral drain board, and microwave. A large freezer sits opposite at the navigation station, which includes chart desk, storage, and swivel chair. The aft passageway provides access to the engine compartment and generator, with an air/DC electrical panel and pullout service tray for refrigeration systems. Multiple opening ports and deck hatches throughout ensure excellent ventilation in all cabins.

The refrigeration system uses Grunnert holdover plates with utectic solution and requires service. The boat includes local delivery as part of the sale.
