1997 Glacier Bay 252
About This Yacht
The Glacier Bay 252 is a 26-foot twin-hull catamaran cuddy cabin built on a fiberglass hull. The twin-hull design delivers exceptional stability in rough water, making it capable in choppy conditions while remaining maneuverable in a variety of sea states. Powered by twin Mercury engines, the boat combines fishing capability with comfortable cruising accommodations.
The cockpit is generously laid out with room to move and work. A central bait rigging station includes a freshwater sink with shower nozzle, a cutting board to port, and a recessed tackle locker. Large insulated fish boxes with dedicated pump-outs run beneath the sole for convenient fish storage and cleanup. Below, the cuddy cabin features a queen-size berth, a fresh water sink, and a marine head.
The boat has seen regular maintenance and upgrades. New fuel filters, water pumps, shift cables, spark plugs, and thermostats were installed in 2024, along with fresh bottom paint. The 12-volt battery bank was replaced in 2023. The integral trailer received new brakes in 2024, and prior work in 2022 included new axles, wheels, tires, brake lines, surge hitch, and rust protection. A port-side fuel tank was replaced in 2018.
