The 1997 Hoek Truly Classic is a 77-foot composite sailing yacht with a mahogany interior finished to high standards and notable racing heritage. Built as the first of the Truly Classic 75 series, the yacht combines traditional craftsmanship with substantial ocean-going capability, powered by an MTU 6R 099 TE91 diesel engine of 235 horsepower.
The interior showcases detailed mahogany joinery throughout. The yacht accommodates two heads and has been maintained to exacting standards by Walsted shipyard in Denmark over many years of active sailing.
Significant systems work was completed in 2018 and 2019, including a complete rebuild of the engine, engine room, and associated systems. In 2020 the teak decks were recaulked. The yacht has logged considerable ocean miles and continues to perform reliably as a long-distance cruising and racing platform.
