1997 Hunter 376

This 1997 Hunter 376 is a fiberglass cruising sloop built for extended time under sail and at anchor. The 37-foot hull carries a 12-foot beam and draws power from a single 36-horsepower Yanmar diesel, cruising at 6 knots with a maximum speed of 7.3 knots. The mainsail has been modified with a deep roach for added drive and reduced heel, with all control lines led to the helm for single-handed sailing. A wing fin keel provides confident directional control and docking characteristics suited to sailors of varying experience.

Navigation and seamanship systems are well-developed. Radar provides weather monitoring, a Raymarine autopilot maintains course, and both feed into a B&G Vulcan 9 moving map display. A Rocna anchor paired with a wireless Lewmar windlass enables secure anchoring from the cockpit across most seafloor types.

Below deck, the layout is spacious and remains dry throughout. Interior wood is in very good condition. Several hatches and portlights have been replaced as needed over the years, with additional covers available. Climate control has been modified to run from either the installed inverter or a 2000-watt inverter generator. All interior and exterior lighting has been converted to LED. The ice box was converted to a refrigerator-freezer unit. Power management centers on a Victron inverter-charger with integrated solar controller managing a 200-watt panel; the system is monitored by a Victron color display, with capacity to add additional solar panels.
