This Island Packet 37 is a 1997 sailing yacht built on a fiberglass hull 37 feet long with a 12-foot beam. The model introduced a new, larger hull design compared to its predecessor, with a completely redesigned deck and interior. A key improvement was the relocation of the rack and pinion steering mechanism from beneath the helm seat to under the binnacle, eliminating the exposed steering shaft and opening up valuable cockpit space for crew movement.

The boat's mainsail has been fitted with an inside-the-mast Charleston Spars furling system, allowing for convenient sail handling. The original owner also specified 350-style sternrail seats and completed other upgrades to the boat's systems and accommodations.
