1997 MacGregor 26X

This 1997 MacGregor 26X is a 26-foot fiberglass sailing yacht powered by a 50 hp Honda gasoline engine. The design combines sailing and motoring capability, making it suited for both bay sailing and lake exploration from a trailer launch.

The boat features water ballast with a centerboard, and accommodation includes a bow berth with a fitted mattress. A portable head and portable water system allow for overnight anchoring without needing shore-based facilities. The yacht carries two 6-gallon portable gasoline tanks for fuel.

Recent work includes bottom paint and dual battery replacement completed in 2023. Updated rigging, new lines, cleats, and other hardware have been installed. The boat comes with a trailer and includes a grill and spare parts. The hull requires some cosmetic attention but the boat is mechanically functional. It has been stored on the trailer and regularly serviced.
