1997 Mainship 350 Trawler

This 1997 Mainship 350 Trawler is a 35-foot fiberglass semi-displacement cruiser with classic trawler styling and genuine performance capability. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines rated at 400 hp total deliver a cruising speed of 8 knots (achieving roughly 1.5 nautical miles per gallon) and a top speed of 12 knots. The engines logged under 2,333 hours and received comprehensive overhaul work in 2018 including new heat exchangers, raw water pumps, exhaust components, and ancillary systems.

The salon features large wraparound windows offering strong natural light and visibility from the lower helm station. An elevated custom settee and convertible sofa provide seating, with a high-low table and an L-shaped galley including refrigerator/freezer and Corian countertop. Two cabins—a master with an island queen bed and guest cabin with double berth—share a single head with separate shower forward. A sliding helm door accesses the covered deck, and substantial molded steps lead to the flybridge above.

Recent major upgrades include new Garmin electronics replacing analog gauges at both lower and upper helm stations, integrated autopilot and GPS functionality, a hydraulic steering system with new steering ram, and updated engine control cables. The Northern Lights generator (722 hours) runs smoothly and powers all systems including heat and air conditioning. New charger/inverter (two years old), Blue Sea Systems battery monitoring, and LED lighting throughout complete the electrical setup. A new RIB dinghy with davit system is mounted on the swim step.

The hull, engine systems, and structure are in sound working condition. Mechanically and electrically, all systems are fully operational. The gelcoat finish retains good shine; cosmetically the boat shows appropriate aging for a 1997-built vessel. The main salon remains fully functional.
