The McKinna 48 Pilot House is a 50-foot fiberglass motor yacht built in 1997. This two-stateroom layout was among the first in the series and remains popular for its generous interior volume and thoughtful design. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines producing 750 horsepower deliver a cruising speed of 12 knots with a maximum speed of 20 knots.
The main deck features a bright salon with wrap-around windows, cross seating, electric fireplace, and recliners. Glass doors open from the center to the cockpit, which includes stern controls, bow thruster operation, and a custom boarding platform at dock height. The galley is U-shaped and includes a full-sized refrigerator with ice dispenser, trash compactor, convection microwave, and two-burner induction cooktop. Custom backsplashes finish both the galley and the two heads. The pilot house sits to starboard with dual helm controls, Garmin GPS chartplotter with radar, and autopilot. An enclosed flybridge above offers duplicate helm electronics, fixed dining table with seating for six, and provision for an electric davit.
Below deck, the VIP stateroom forward has a centerline walkaround berth with dual hanging lockers and storage. The master stateroom aft features an athwartship berth, hanging lockers, and a large walk-in shower in the adjacent head. A washer-dryer unit is installed in the master cabin.
Recent improvements include updated furnishings in the salon, upgraded galley equipment, and custom finishes throughout. The deck hardware includes electric windlass with stainless anchor forward.
