This 1997 Merritt 58 is a composite-hulled sportfish powered by twin Caterpillar 3412C diesel engines delivering 2,700 total horsepower. The boat cruises at 29 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 35 knots, with approximately 500 hours on the engines since complete overhauls. She measures 58 feet in length with an 18-foot beam and carries 1,480 gallons of fuel capacity.

The interior comprises three staterooms and two heads, with a full galley featuring a stove, cooktop, and oven. The main salon features a U-shaped couch and new Fabrica carpet throughout. A mezzanine area provides additional climate-controlled space. Accommodations include two stainless-lined refrigerators, one stainless-lined freezer, and a salon icemaker. The boat features classic Merritt satin varnish finish throughout the interior.

The cockpit and deck are configured for serious fishing, with a custom Merritt fighting chair, Gemlux rod holders, and a teak deck. Refrigerated and freezer boxes flank the working area, and a large tackle drawer supports extended fishing operations. The flybridge carries extensive electronics including dual Garmin 8616 systems, Garmin 7612 displays, Furuno Omni sonar, and a 13-inch Caterpillar touchscreen. Communications gear includes dual Icom VHF radios with AIS, while audio systems throughout feature JL Audio components and Fusion stereo integration.

A comprehensive 2025 refit included full overhauls on both engines, new running gear with Veem five-blade props, new shafts and cutlass bearings, and rebuilt steering rams. The SpotZero Sea Xchange watermaker, ElectroSea seawater system, and new freshwater pumps support extended cruising. New exterior varnish work was completed on the toe rail, cap rail, and transom. All interior and exterior audio, video, and navigation systems are new, along with LED underwater lights and updated mezzanine and flybridge cushions.
