1997 Nautor Swan 56 R

This 1997 Nautor Swan 56 R was built for serious offshore racing, with particular attention paid to light construction without compromising the comfort that defines the Swan brand. The yacht has been owned continuously since 1999 and was used primarily for cruising and racing in the Baltic, wintered under cover, and maintained to professional standards.

The design accommodates three cabins and two heads, making it suitable for both performance sailing and extended cruising. The yacht's engineering centers on a single 100 hp Yammer diesel engine supported by a generator for auxiliary power.

Recent work includes new antifouling, engine and generator service, and a comprehensive electronics upgrade completed in 2024. New halyards, an alternator, and AGM battery bank were installed, alongside B&G Zeus navigation equipment—an S12 display at the helm and three S9 screens below decks. The autopilot system includes wireless remote control.

The Swan 56 R occupies a notable place in Nautor's history and is well-suited to demanding performance cruising. The yacht remains eligible to participate in Swan Events held worldwide.
