1997 Sea Ray 420 Aft Cabin

The 1997 Sea Ray 420 Aft Cabin is a 45-foot fiberglass motor yacht that combines European-influenced design with American construction. Twin Caterpillar 340-horsepower diesel engines deliver cruising speeds around 17 knots, with a maximum speed of just over 20 knots. The hull features a cored construction with prop pockets and underwater exhausts.

The three-stateroom layout maximizes interior space with double berths forward and aft, while a third guest cabin tucked beneath the salon sole can serve dual purpose as a laundry room. The galley sits below deck, freeing up the salon for a generous L-shaped dinette. Two heads serve the accommodation areas. A Westerbeke generator provides reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating throughout.

On deck, the aft cabin model offers substantial outdoor entertaining space: a flybridge, wide side decks, a fiberglass dodger enclosure aft, molded swim platform steps, radar arch, transom storage, and an aft deck wet bar. The cabin and sundeck benefit from full custom enclosures.

From 2021 onwards, the yacht underwent significant upgrades totaling approximately $100,000, including new hard-bottom center console dinghy with outboard, custom davit system, updated electronics, new batteries and charger system, and complete enclosure replacements on bridge and sundeck areas.
