The 1997 Sea Ray 500 Sundancer is a 50-foot express cruiser built on a deep-vee fiberglass hull with a 15-foot beam. Twin Caterpillar 3196 diesel engines deliver approximately 660 horsepower each; the port engine shows 748 hours and the starboard 716 hours. The boat runs on a V-drive inboard system with direct drive, hydraulic power steering, and an engine oil change system fitted with Racor fuel filters. A Westerbeke 11kW diesel generator with sound enclosure provides auxiliary power.
The accommodations comprise two staterooms and two heads. The forward VIP stateroom features a queen bed, private ensuite head with separate shower stall and vanity, beauty desk, and a flatscreen television. The port-side midship guest stateroom has over-under bunks and private access to the day head. The main salon includes a leather circular sofa that converts to a double berth, convertible cocktail table, entertainment center with flatscreen television and sound bar, central vacuum system, and a washer-dryer combo. The galley is appointed with a full-size refrigerator-freezer, three-burner electric range, microwave-convection oven, and coffee maker.
The expansive cockpit features U-shaped wraparound seating, transom door, and full Isinglass and camper enclosure. The helm station has a triple-wide bench seat with full instrumentation. The boat carries 550 gallons of diesel fuel, 150 gallons of fresh water, and a 68-gallon holding tank. Deck equipment includes an integral bow pulpit, electric windlass with foot controls, stainless steel bow rails, and a full swim platform with davits. Three-zone marine air conditioning and heating provide climate control with 31,000 BTU capacity total. A Glendinning Cablemaster is installed.
