1997 Sea Ray 500 Sundancer

This 1997 Sea Ray 500 Sundancer is a 50-foot motor yacht with a 15-foot beam, built in fiberglass. The boat is powered by two Detroit Diesel 6V92 engines that were rebuilt in 2017 with 110 hours of runtime. A 13.5 kW Kohler generator provides auxiliary power, backed by a 50-amp shore power system and eight batteries replaced in 2023.

The interior accommodates five people in berths, with additional sleeping space on the salon sofa and a convertible cockpit dining table. The galley is equipped with a three-burner stove, 10-cubic-foot refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, trash compactor, and full complement of cookware and serving items. The salon features hardwood flooring throughout, central vacuum, and includes four flat-screen televisions. The guest cabin has a new air conditioning unit, while the main salon received new A/C in 2018.

Mechanical updates since 2014 include a hydraulic swim platform with dinghy supports, bow and stern thrusters, new battery charger, and an engine synchronizer system. Navigation features a 2014 Raymarine package with dual GS 125 multifunction displays, GPS receiver, sonar module, radar antenna, and VHF radio. The exterior sound system was replaced in 2017.

Deck features include underwater deluxe lighting, stainless steel plow anchor with chain, air horns, mahogany steering wheel with new wipers and motors, flag pole, hatch covers, cockpit ice maker, and one-piece washer-dryer. The cockpit and rear platform have SeaDek installed, canvas and Isinglass were replaced in 2017, and the boat includes dock boxes with additional supplies. The yacht spent most of its life in fresh water.
