1997 Sea Ray Sundancer 400

The 1997 Sea Ray Sundancer 400 is a 40-foot fiberglass express cruiser built around a mid-cabin, raised-helm design. Twin Caterpillar 350 hp diesels with V-drives deliver cruising speeds around 24 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. The boat carries the classic Sea Ray styling of its era, with a generous cockpit designed for entertaining: three-sided bench seating, a portside wet bar with icemaker, overhead lighting, and a sport spoiler overhead. A transom door opens to a wide swim platform, while a forward sun pad sits on the raised foredeck, secured by a through-bolted stainless steel bow rail and French toe-rail.

Below deck, the salon features a curved sofa that converts to sleeping space, paired with a fiberglass dining table. The mid-cabin stateroom doubles as a day lounge or converts to a sleeping berth at night. The master stateroom has a full-size pedestal bed, private entertainment center with TV, VCR, and radio, cedar-lined hanging lockers, and dual vanities with below-cabinet storage. Both the master and guest heads include VacuFlush toilets; the master offers a full stand-up shower and vanity with sink, while the guest head has a vanity with sink.

The galley is fitted with a full-size refrigerator-freezer, three-burner electric stove, microwave, and coffeemaker on faux-granite countertops. Climate control comes via central heat and air conditioning throughout. Navigation and electronics include a Raymarine system with GPS, VHF radio, and multifunction depth finder with speed log and water temperature display. The boat was well maintained and is ready for weekend trips or longer passages.
