This 1997 Seahorse 52 is a 52-foot fiberglass trawler with a beam of just under 15 feet and a displacement of 20 metric tons. She was designed by Blaine Seeley and draws 1.7 meters, making her suitable for varied cruising waters. Power comes from a single 210 hp Cummins six-cylinder diesel engine paired with a wing engine, delivering a cruising speed of 7 knots and a maximum speed of 9 knots. The boat carries 2,730 liters of fuel and 1,820 liters of fresh water, providing a range of 2,000 nautical miles at cruise speed.
Below deck, the trawler offers comfortable accommodation with a master cabin and guest cabin, both served by a Cruiseair marine air-conditioning unit. The saloon features split-system air conditioning. The galley is equipped with a two-ring German Pool hob, Sharp microwave, and Sharp fridge-freezer. A Whirlpool washing machine handles laundry. Two Jabsco electric flush toilets serve the accommodation.
Mechanical systems include a bow thruster, three automatic manual bilge pumps, and 230V AC power via a Victron Energy charger-inverter. An Isuzu 12 kva generator, which also functions as a wing engine, supports the electrical systems. The propulsion setup features a single screw with a four-bladed prop on a two-inch shaft, plus a folding two-blade prop on the wing engine; the flexible coupling was replaced in 2025. Deck equipment comprises an electric windlass, 37 meters of chain, and a Danforth-type anchor.
Recent work includes overhaul of both the main engine and generator in 2025, each with 200 hours recorded as of June 2024. The navigation suite includes a Power Talk SSB radio, though the Furuno radar, Lowrance fish finder, GPS, and standard VHF are noted as requiring repair. Safety equipment comprises 14 life jackets, 2 life buoys, and hand-held fire extinguishers.
