This 1997 Strike 42 Express is a fiberglass sportfish boat powered by twin MAN diesel engines. The stepped hull is built for efficiency and seagoing capability, with a 56-degree bow entry and 24-degree transom deadrise designed to handle heavy conditions. The shallow 48-inch draft allows access to coastal waters and shallow anchorages.
The boat was comprehensively rebuilt starting in 2022. The twin MAN engines were fully rebuilt and have logged only 75 hours since the overhaul. A new 8.5kW Phasor Marine generator was installed, along with a complete electronics suite including Garmin GPSMAP 7616 and 7612 chartplotters and ZF Marine electronic controls for engine management. The interior received new lighting and air conditioning, and the hull and topsides were refinished with a full professional paint job.
Below deck, the single cabin features a full galley with Corian countertops and entertainment system. Topside, the boat includes a dedicated tackle center, rigging station, and fresh and saltwater washdowns. Construction details include heavy-duty stainless steel shafts and bronze struts and rudder. Fuel capacity is 450 gallons, with 150 gallons of fresh water. Since the 2022 refit, the boat has been used minimally and receives ongoing professional maintenance, including monthly bottom cleaning by a professional diver. The bottom paint was last applied approximately 2 years ago.
