1997 Tiara Yachts 4000 Express

This 1997 Tiara 4000 Express is a 40-foot fiberglass cruiser built on the brand's reputation for seaworthiness and durability. Twin Caterpillar 3208TIA diesel engines rated at 435 hp each deliver a maximum speed of 31.5 mph and a cruising speed around 24.5 mph. The engines have 1,400 hours on them, and the engine couplers were replaced in June 2025. The boat runs through ZF IRM-302V transmissions and features a hydraulic engine hatch for easy access to the engine room.

The open cockpit prioritizes social comfort with an electric double-wide helm seat, companion seating, and aft-facing lounge. A molded fiberglass table serves as a working dining surface and sun pad, retracting flush into the sole when stowed. The boat has two heads and sleeps multiple guests across its cabin spaces.

Navigation and communication systems installed in 2019 include a Garmin GMR 18 Fantom radar, Garmin 1242 xsv GPS chartplotter with heading sensor, Raymarine 6002 autopilot, and Standard Horizon GX 1700B VHF with new antenna. A hand-held VHF and 5-inch Ritchie compass provide backup. Solar power comes from a 350-watt panel with Blue Sky regulator and 600-amp battery combiner, all added in 2019. The autopilot was rebuilt in 2020.
