This 1998 Bayliner 4788 is a 47-foot fiberglass pilothouse motoryacht powered by twin Cummins 370 HP diesel engines with approximately 2,350 original hours. The boat was boathouse-kept throughout its life and operated primarily in fresh water on the Columbia River until 2023. Recent work includes a major engine service completed in 2025, with aftercoolers and heat exchangers serviced, new carpet installed, and new Trojan house batteries fitted in July 2024.
The layout of the 4788 is notable for its open, connected spaces that flow naturally between the cockpit, salon, pilothouse, and flybridge. Three cabins accommodate different cruising needs: a forward master stateroom with an island queen berth, a mid-ship VIP queen stateroom, and a guest cabin with upper and lower single berths. Two heads serve the accommodations, with the master head featuring a stall shower and tub, and a separate guest head with a stall shower. The galley is well-equipped with a Nova Kool AC/DC refrigerator, Princess electric stove and oven, double stainless steel sink, and Frigidaire trash compactor.
Navigation and engine monitoring equipment includes a Raytheon R21XX radar, Nobeltec navigation software on a Dell computer, an Interphase Twin Scope depth sounder, dual VHF radios with DSC capability, and an Autohelm ST6000 autopilot. Power comes from an 8 kW Westerbeke generator and a Trace 2500W inverter, with substantial battery capacity and three 30-amp shore power connections. Climate control is provided by a five-zone Webasto diesel furnace and four-zone electric forced-air heating.
Additional equipment includes a Brower Systems davit rated for 1,000 pounds, Bennett trim tabs, a Muir Cougar electric windlass with 250 feet of chain, a new 10-foot Highfield tender with a Yamaha 9.9 outboard added in 2025, flybridge refrigerator, washer and dryer, cockpit shower, and central vacuum system. Hydraulic steering via Teleflex SeaStar and a Racor fuel filtration system complete the installation.
