1998 Beneteau 411

This 1998 Beneteau 411 is the two-cabin, two-head Owner's Version, designed to prioritize comfort for cruising couples. The layout replaces a second aft cabin with an expansive cockpit storage lazarette and dedicates the bow to a full owner's suite. The hull is fiberglass, powered by a single 40-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine with a three-blade fixed propeller.

The forward master cabin features a starboard-offset Pullman berth with the headboard aligned forward for stability under way, a private dressing station with hanging locker and drawers to port, and an en-suite head at the bow with toilet, vanity, sink, and hot/cold shower. The main salon offers a large U-shaped dinette to starboard that converts to a berth, a navigation station with chart storage and dedicated AC/DC panels, and over six feet of headroom throughout. Cherry-stained wood and multiple overhead hatches flood the space with natural light. The galley runs the full port side in an in-line configuration, keeping the salon open and providing solid bracing for cooking at sea. It includes a Force 10 two-burner stove with oven, GE microwave, Adler Barbour freezer and refrigerator, double stainless steel sink, and hot/cold pressurized water. The aft guest cabin sits to starboard with an athwartship double berth and cross-ventilation ports. The adjacent day head to port is unusually spacious for a 41-footer, with a separate stand-up shower stall, toilet, and sink.

Electrical systems include a 120V/12V setup with dual shorepower inlets, a 2000-watt Xantrex inverter/charger, and reverse-cycle air conditioning with four cabin fans. The Raymarine E7 GPS, I70 multifunction display, Autohelm M81135 autopilot, and Apelco VHF provide navigation and communication. An inmast-furling Neil Pryde mainsail, 135% genoa, and modern Lewmar deck hatches and portlights support deck operations. The cockpit features a pedestal wheel, centerline table with fold-up leaves, three lockers, bimini with stretcher bars, dodger with grab bars, hot and cold swim platform showers, swim ladder, and a walk-through transom. Deck gear includes a Simpson Lawrence electric windlass, 35-pound Delta anchor with 75 feet of chain and rode, and a double bow roller. Recent work includes replacement of both holding tanks and hoses, all side portlights upgraded to Lewmar, five of seven deck hatches replaced with new Lewmar hatches in 2012, and mainsail furling drum bearings replaced. New batteries are being installed, and the bottom is scheduled for soda-blasting, barrier coating, and fresh bottom paint.
