About This Yacht
The 1998 Boston Whaler 23 Conquest is a center console cruiser built on the company's Accutrack hull system, which pairs a deep-V design with strategically placed chines for a smooth, dry ride. The single 150-horsepower engine powers a 22.58-foot fiberglass hull with an 8.5-foot beam. The boat's distinctive reverse chine and forward spray rail—the signature Whaler "smirk"—redirect spray beneath the hull and help maintain steerage in following seas.
The lockable cuddy cabin contains a V-berth and room for a portable or plumbed head. The raised-deck bow features a heavy-duty stainless steel walkway rail for safe access forward. The cockpit offers adjustable helm and companion pedestal seats, aft-facing seats for rigging or observing activity, and a stern seat that folds flush to the transom to maximize open space. Under-gunnel rod racks run port and starboard, with additional storage under the cabin berth and an in-deck fishbox to starboard. The entire cockpit is self-bailing fiberglass with molded nonskid surfaces.
Boston Whaler's Unibond construction bonds the hull and deck into a single unit using structural foam, eliminating the need for fasteners between the two panels. Fittings throughout use 316 stainless steel and composite materials designed to resist corrosion. Seats and seat bases are made of rot-proof composite, and interior surfaces are finished gel coat with no raw fiberglass to trap water or debris.
