This 1998 Cabo 45 Express is a twin-diesel sportfish built for serious offshore fishing. Powered by two Caterpillar 3196 engines producing 660 horsepower each, the boat runs 3,750 hours on the mains and carries a nearly new Kohler generator with 776 hours. The vessel has undergone substantial recent work: new props, shafts, cutlass bearings, full engine alignment, ceramic coating, bottom paint, and fresh engine service complete the mechanical package. ZF gears with new Vulcan couplers, dripless shaft logs, and stainless exhaust risers support reliable operation.
The interior follows a single-stateroom owner's layout forward with a private head. High-gloss matched-grain teak locker doors, a teak and holly sole, and leather furnishings throughout establish the cabin aesthetic. The galley features granite countertops, a Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, and a microwave/convection oven. An air-conditioned salon with a retractable sofa berth provides comfortable cruising quarters.
The cockpit is fully equipped for tournament fishing, with a deluxe fighting chair, custom rocket launcher, tuna door, tuna tube connections, and two below-deck macerated fish boxes. A 60-gallon live well with an aquarium window, fresh and saltwater washdowns, and electric reel plugs round out the working deck. A Pipewelders tower carries triple outriggers, two teaser reels, and mast-mounted electronics.
Electronics include dual new Garmin displays at the helm, a Garmin MFD in the tower, Garmin Phantom radar, Simrad multifunction display, and new autopilot. An ACR EPIRB, ACR spotlight, ICOM VHF, and Starlink with inverter provide communication and navigation. New LED lighting runs throughout the exterior, and recent upgrades include new air-conditioning units, a new anchor system, and enhanced bilge capacity in the engine room.
