1998 Eastern 35 Casco Bay

The Eastern 35 Casco Bay is a downeast-style yacht built on a proven hull form known for seakeeping ability and efficiency in Northeast waters. This particular boat was originally constructed as a 31-footer and professionally extended to 35 feet by JC Boats, the original builder. She is powered by a single Cummins 6BTA diesel engine rated at 330 horsepower, with approximately 2,390 hours on the clock, and cruises efficiently at 13–14 knots while delivering a stable, confident ride across a range of sea conditions.

The boat is comprehensively equipped for offshore fishing. Outfitting includes an ElectraDyne 12V hauler with roof-mounted davit, custom tackle station with 40-gallon livewell, tuna door, eight rod holders, raw water washdown, rear helm station, and Durabrite LED floodlights. Electronics are modern and integrated: Simrad NSS Evo3S 12-inch multifunction display, Simrad NSS Evo2 9-inch display with autopilot interface, Simrad Halo 20+ radar, Simrad autopilot with NAC-2, dual ICOM VHF radios, and Glendinning controls.

Below deck, the layout balances fishing utility with comfortable accommodation. The interior includes a convertible settee, double V-berth forward, head with shower, reverse-cycle heating and air conditioning, AC/DC refrigeration, microwave, stove, hot water system, and approximately 40 gallons of freshwater capacity. A Westerbeke 5.5kW generator with roughly 1,300 hours supports extended cruising.

Recent maintenance reflects diligent upkeep: valve adjustment completed in 2024, new cutlass bearing and PYI dripless shaft seal installed in 2025, forward and helm-side windows replaced in 2024, center window replacement with confirmed dry core, updated bilge pumps, and battery upgrade completed in 2023. The boat has been consistently serviced with regular oil changes every 100–150 hours and periodic aftercooler servicing.
