This 1998 Formula 41 is powered by twin Cummins 6CTA 8.3L turbo diesel engines, each rated at 450 horsepower. The starboard engine was professionally overhauled in 2022 and has accumulated approximately 400 hours since; the port engine shows about 1,500 hours. A Kohler generator with roughly 1,300 hours provides onboard electrical power. The boat cruises comfortably at 22 mph and reaches a top speed of approximately 30 mph, delivering about 1 mile per gallon at cruise. Fuel capacity is 350 gallons, with 80 gallons of fresh water and a 40-gallon holding tank.
The cabin layout includes a forward private stateroom, a mid-cabin berth, full galley, and an enclosed head with separate shower. The spacious cockpit offers abundant seating and adjoins a large integrated swim platform. A custom hardwood ceiling throughout the cabin replaces the original fabric headliner, eliminating the sagging that commonly affects these models while providing warm interior aesthetics. The main cabin air conditioner was replaced in 2022 and cools effectively; the forward cabin unit remains operational but with reduced performance.
Recent maintenance includes engine oil and filter changes on both main engines and the generator, cutlass bearing replacement in spring 2023, new main cabin air conditioner and interior refrigerator in 2022, upgraded cockpit refrigerator with icemaker, upgraded stereo system with new speakers and amplifier installed in 2023, and SeaDek installed on the swim platform. The hull was polished prior to the 2026 season. Equipment includes radar and GPS, trim tabs, windlass, air conditioning, and a generator. A spare set of recently tuned propellers, self-storing cockpit table, dock lines, fenders, life jackets, and shore power cords are included.
