This 1998 Grand Alaskan 60 Pilothouse is a raised pilothouse cruiser built on a traditional Arthur Defever hull design. Two Caterpillar diesel engines of 550 horsepower each drive the boat to a cruising speed of 10 knots, with bow and stern thrusters enabling single-operator handling. The fiberglass hull spans 60 feet in length with a 17-foot beam, designed to accommodate a couple or small group without requiring hired crew.
The accommodations consist of three staterooms and three heads. The main salon features updated windows and twin aft doors that open to the aft deck, with port and starboard settees. The galley adjoins the salon across a granite countertop and includes a breakfast bar. The pilothouse sits forward to starboard with an L-shaped settee and tape behind the helm; a sliding aft door and side deck doors access the upper deck. Forward and down from the pilothouse are the VIP and guest staterooms, served by a large head with separate shower stall to starboard.
The flybridge offers generous guest seating with storage beneath each seat, plus a grill and bar arrangement. The engine room is well-lit and soundproofed, accessible from both the aft deck and salon hatches. On deck, the Portuguese bridge and flared bow provide a clean work space forward. The swim platform includes integrated steps, and the wide side decks and spacious aft deck suit both entertaining and tender operations. Teak trim and cap rails accent the traditional styling throughout.
