The 1998 Halter 97 is a steel-hulled motor yacht built for serious ocean cruising. At nearly 92 feet with a 24-foot beam, she combines the structural integrity of full-displacement steel construction with practical size and seaworthiness. Twin Caterpillar 3604 diesel engines deliver 880 horsepower, enabling a cruising speed of 8 knots and a maximum speed of 9 knots. At cruising speed the engines consume approximately 90 liters per hour, providing a range of 3,750 nautical miles.
The yacht accommodates 11 cabins and 10 heads. The layout includes an owner's suite positioned on the upper deck with direct access to the aft deck. Sleeping capacity reaches 15 guests, supported by generous interior and exterior social spaces. Covered deck areas throughout provide weather protection for all-weather operation.
Major refits were completed in 2021 and 2025. These included new teak decking, a full paint job stripped to bare steel, comprehensive interior restyling and remodeling, upgraded navigation equipment, and complete engine and generator rebuilds with routine servicing. A new tender was also installed as part of the work. The yacht carries Indonesian registry and is configured for commercial operation with capacity for 16 guests and 15 crew members.
