This 1998 Huckins 70 Sportfish Convertible is powered by twin Caterpillar 3412-C diesel engines producing 1250 horsepower each. The boat received a 1000-hour service recently and is fitted with new five-bladed propellers. The hull was painted in 2018, and the teak deck and exterior brightwork remain in excellent condition. An all-new EZ2CY acrylic enclosure is on order, and a fresh ceramic coating was applied in May 2025.
The interior accommodates three staterooms, each with its own ensuite head and shower. The master stateroom features a queen berth with storage and a lighted headboard, while the VIP and bunkroom each offer comfortable sleeping arrangements with hanging lockers and storage solutions. A separate crew quarters with bunk beds and head serves the working crew. The spacious salon with L-shaped settee, actuated dining table, and entertainment center creates an open living area throughout the boat.
The galley was fully updated in 2018 with GE Profile appliances including a five-burner cooktop, double oven, dishwasher, and ice maker, along with teak cabinetry and Corian countertops. The boat carries comprehensive electronics including Furuno and Garmin systems with current charts, radar, sounder, and AIS. Two 30-kilowatt generators installed in 2018 with 1200 hours of service provide reliable power, supported by 72,000 BTU of refrigeration capacity, a water maker, and twin marine chillers rebuilt in 2018.
Fishing amenities include a fighting chair, rod storage, refrigerated fish boxes, cockpit and deck freezers, and baitwell systems. The helm features teak construction with single-lever controls, dual radars, and flush-mounted electronics. A 24-volt windlass was rebuilt in 2019, and the boat is equipped with a bow thruster, dripless shaft seals, and comprehensive systems for extended cruising and offshore fishing.
