1998 Hunter 340

The 1998 Hunter 340 is a 34-foot fiberglass sloop built for day sailing and coastal cruising. The design combines a manageable size with practical accommodations suitable for families or small groups. A shoal keel enhances shallow-water capability, while the single 27 hp Yanmar diesel engine provides reliable auxiliary power.

The cockpit seats eight comfortably and includes stern rail seating for larger crews during social outings. Below deck, the layout features two private staterooms with berths, a convertible dinette with additional berth, and a galley equipped with a two-burner propane stove, oven, and microwave. The head includes a shower, and numerous hatches and ports flood the interior with natural light.

Standard equipment includes air conditioning, autopilot, depth and speed instruments, and VHF radio at the helm. Canvas work comprises a bimini top, dodger, and connector piece in blue, with a mainsail arch and traveler. A new mainsail cover with lazy jacks is fitted. Additional features include a folding Lewmar wheel, walk-through transom with swim ladder, hot and cold transom shower, cockpit cushions, rub rail, and an anchor with rode.
