The Nordic Tug 32 is a semi-displacement cruiser built for long-distance voyaging. This fiberglass hull features a full keel and hard chine construction, giving it the stability and seaworthiness the type is known for. Powered by a single 220-horsepower Cummins diesel engine, the boat is fuel-efficient and proven across Pacific Northwest waters, Alaska, British Columbia, and Mexico.
The layout centers on a pilothouse with 360-degree visibility and 6 feet 8 inches of headroom, paired with a roomy salon and galley. Forward is a stateroom with a single berth and Pullman conversion, plus a head with separate shower. The salon features a large settee that converts to a second berth. Teak cabinetry and drawers throughout provide storage, and the salon has new carpet. A Sanyo refrigerator, Panasonic microwave, and Force 10 two-burner propane stove serve the galley.
Electronics are comprehensive: a newer 10-inch Garmin touchscreen with chartplotter, radar, and depth finder; Raymarine Raypilot 650 autopilot with wireless remote; Raymarine ST60 TriData; ICOM VHF with DSC; and tank monitoring. The boat carries a Simpson Lawrence 900 electric windlass, Vetus bow thruster with joystick control, and a Bruce 15-kilogram anchor with 100 feet of chain and 200 feet of half-inch nylon rode. Dripless shaft seals and a fiberglass swim platform complete the deck. Recent work includes a rebuilt windlass, rebuilt Vacuflush system, new hot-water heater, new steering cylinder, and a new satellite phone system with antenna. Electrical systems include 30-amp shore power, dual house batteries, engine start battery, and dedicated bow thruster battery with a 30-amp charger.
