Sweet Sensation is a 1998 Prout 38 catamaran, a fiberglass-hulled cruising cat built in the UK. She is powered by two Volvo diesel engines of 58 horsepower each. The broad beam of 17.42 feet provides the stability and interior volume typical of the Prout design, which remains highly regarded among blue-water cruising sailors.

Below deck, the boat offers three cabins with sleeping accommodation for six, plus additional berths in the saloon. The single head includes a shower and good standing room. The galley is generously sized for extended voyaging, and substantial storage runs throughout. Custom woodwork details the interior throughout, contributing to the boat's comfortable and finished appearance.

The boat received a full survey and rigging inspection in 2022. In 2023, the hull was spray-painted with AwlGrip 2000 and the deck was painted with Kiwi. A non-functional Nera satellite aerial and its mounting pole are in place; the pole is ready to accept alternative communication equipment. The boat is fully equipped for long-distance cruising and self-sufficient operation offshore.
