The 1998 Pursuit 3000 Express is a 30-foot fiberglass cruiser designed for fishing and extended coastal cruising. Powered by twin MerCruiser engines, the boat has been substantially upgraded with new fuel-injected Vortec 5.7L V8 engines installed in 2022, which have since accumulated fewer than 70 hours of running time. The twin powerplants deliver 520 combined horsepower and enable a cruising speed of 28 knots with a maximum speed of 48 knots.
The single cabin provides sleeping quarters and storage for extended trips. A full head is included. The boat is fitted with a comprehensive suite of fishing and navigation electronics: radar, chartplotter, fish finder, depth and speed indicators, GPS, and VHF radio. Additional equipment includes a stereo system with Bluetooth and auxiliary input, cabin heating and air conditioning, an inverter, bimini enclosure, Morse engine controls, a live bait circulating system, remote windlass, outriggers, and a Magna barbecue grill. A kayak and paddleboard rack is also installed.
Maintenance work completed includes new bottom paint applied in June 2020, a port Velvet Drive transmission rebuild in January 2022, and a starboard Velvet Drive transmission rebuild in October 2017. The hull has been recently waxed. The design delivers a stable ride and smooth handling across varied marine conditions.
