This 1998 Sabre 402 is a Jim Taylor-designed shoal-draft sailing yacht with a fiberglass hull and a Westerbeke 50 hp diesel engine. The boat draws just under five feet and carries two staterooms, a spacious salon, and a generous galley. Solar panels, GPS, radar, autopilot, and an Espar diesel heater are installed. Refrigeration runs on a dual system—an engine-driven Seafrost unit supplemented by a Seafrost Tradewinds 12-volt/120-volt system. The yacht also has 110-volt AC and 12-volt DC electrical systems.
The sails include a full-batten mainsail, 130 genoa, and a Doyle asymmetrical spinnaker with an ATN sock, all in very good condition and fitted with lazy jacks. The boat carries factory deck fittings to accommodate a baby stay for a cutter rig configuration. Rod rigging was replaced in July 2024 by Northeast Rigging.
The diesel engine has logged fewer than 2,300 hours. An air conditioner is included but was removed and will require reinstallation.
