1998 Saga 43

The 1998 Saga 43 is a performance-oriented cruising sailboat built with a narrow, efficient hull and lightweight construction designed for speed and stability. Her design excels both upwind and downwind, offering responsive handling whether sailed short-handed or fully crewed.

This boat has received substantial performance and structural upgrades. A custom 1,200 lb. lead keel shoe was installed by Mars Metal to enhance stability and speed. The hull features barrier coating for long-term protection and new bottom paint. The rudder bearings were recently replaced for smooth steering response, and the sails have been professionally cleaned and inspected.

Below deck, the yacht offers two cabins and two heads. Recent interior work includes refinished wood, new sanitation lines, a new Force10 stove, and a new microwave. Water tanks, hoses, and filtration systems are new, and a new sail cover with connector was installed. These updates address both comfort and reliability.
