1998 Sea Ray 450 Sundancer

The 1998 Sea Ray 450 Sundancer is a 45-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines delivering 840 horsepower. The yacht features a two-stateroom, two-head layout with cherry interior joinery. The beam spans 13.92 feet, providing substantial interior volume and stability.

Extensive mechanical work has been completed throughout. The engine room received comprehensive attention: both engines now have new raw water pumps, starters, alternators, coolant water pumps, belts, and dripless shaft seals. The propellers and shafts were reconditioned, with the starboard strut replaced. All five fuel filters were rebuilt, antifreeze systems flushed and refilled with nitrate-free coolant, and shaft couplings machined, balanced, and fitted with new bolts. The generator underwent a 1000-hour service including heat exchanger cleaning, new coolant and raw water pumps, thermostat, fuel injector, and zincs.

Throughout the boat, systems have been updated and repaired. The helm received new wiring, breaker panel, and horn compressor; cockpit lighting was converted to LED and door latches replaced with stainless hardware. Both head systems were rebuilt with new duckbills, pump motors, and vacuum switches. The freshwater system includes new pumps, and air conditioning units were detailed. Three bilge pumps were installed, new macerator and sump pumps added, and all thru hulls serviced. Engine compartment grounding connections were cleaned and upgraded to marine-grade connectors.

The exterior features a custom camper top with double-line fabric and a new front enclosure with polycarbonate panels raised six inches at the helm. Custom framework allows operation with the sides partially open while underway.
