1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 400

The 1998 Sea Ray 400 Sundancer is a 40-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin MerCruiser 7.4L 454-Magnum engines producing 380 horsepower each, with 650 original hours on the engines. Built on a deep-V hull with prop pockets and trim tabs, the boat reaches speeds of 30 knots and cruises at 22 knots.

The layout features a conventional mid-cabin arrangement with the owner's stateroom forward, open galley in the main cabin, and a mid-cabin stateroom with privacy door. Two heads with vanities and sinks are included—the forward head has a stall shower. The interior is finished in cherry wood. The expansive U-shaped cockpit lounge offers substantial seating, and the aft cockpit sole raises electronically for engine access. Standard features include a radar arch, transom storage locker, and foldaway boarding steps.

The boat is equipped with a Westerbeke 7.0kw generator, windlass anchor with forward pedal controls, and a Raymarine electronics suite comprising open-array radar, C120 GPS/chartplotter, and autopilot. Additional systems include dual-zone air-conditioning and heat, central vacuum, and a premium sound system with iPod and MP3 connectivity. The cockpit includes a wet bar with sink and ice maker.

The canvas package was fully replaced as of June 2026, including forward and aft convertible tops with windows. Vinyl cockpit carpeting is new, and the boat overall shows above-average condition. The equipment list also includes a cockpit wet bar and snap-in vinyl cockpit carpeting.
