This 1998 Tollycraft 65 pilothouse represents the final design from Ed Monk, combining refined West Coast cruiser proportions with a well-conceived layout. Twin rebuilt Detroit 8V92 diesel engines produce 760 horsepower each with just five hours of running time. The boat reaches 24 knots at full speed and cruises efficiently at 14 knots. A comprehensive systems package includes bow and stern thrusters, twin Northern Lights generators, Naiad hydraulic stabilizers, a 500-gallon-per-day watermaker, and Glendinning cable steering.
The pilothouse layout places the control station at the upper level with full-beam width and easy access to covered side decks via wing doors. The main salon features large windows and opens to a spacious cockpit protected by phantom screens. The galley sits on the main level in U-shaped configuration with appliances including a Kitchen Aid refrigerator, Creda cooktop, and Fisher Paykel dishwasher. Three staterooms provide comfortable accommodation: a full-beam master ensuite with queen berth and tub-shower combination, a forward VIP cabin with queen berth, and a guest cabin with single berths. A second head serves the guest areas, and stacked washer-dryer units occupy the companionway.
Deck space includes a flybridge with twin helm stations, guest seating, circular teak dining table, and BBQ station. A Steelhead 1000-pound davit services the included 13-foot Boston Whaler tender. The pilothouse electronics suite comprises dual Furuno radars, Garmin 7610 chartplotters on both levels, Simrad autopilots, and comprehensive navigation systems. The boat features a 50-amp shorepower system, substantial battery banks, and both pilothouse and flybridge control stations for maneuvering.
