1999 Alerion Catboat Express

This 19-foot Alerion Catboat is a Garry Hoyt design built on a fiberglass hull with a centerboard that draws four feet when down and retracts to fourteen inches. The boat features a carbon fiber mast, Hoyt boom, and kick-up rudder. All hardware is Harken throughout. A Torqeedo Travel 1003 electric outboard motor with three horsepower, long shaft configuration, and battery bag provide propulsion.

Recent work includes a new sail installed in 2021, woodwork refinished in the same year, and a bottom repaint completed in 2022. Cockpit and cabin cushions are in new condition. The boat comes with a single-axle trailer, a custom mooring cover by Sailor Tailor, and a video featuring designer Garry Hoyt explaining effective sailing techniques for the design.
