1999 Azimut 85 Ultimate

This 85-foot Azimut Ultimate from 1999 combines Italian design with substantial recent investment. Twin MTU diesel engines produce 2,700 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 26 knots. The fiberglass hull measures 20 feet in beam and carries the classic proportions that defined the 85 Ultimate as one of the era's most respected designs.

The yacht accommodates four staterooms, each with private head facilities, plus separate crew quarters for three. The interior features high-gloss cherry woodwork, updated soft furnishings, and contemporary amenities including new smart TVs throughout—50-inch displays in the master, VIP, and aft deck areas, with 40-inch sets in guest cabins and wheelhouse. New appliances include a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and hot water heater, complemented by refreshed climate control and updated audio systems.

Electronics and helm systems were comprehensively modernized in 2025. Both wheelhouse and flybridge are fully networked with new Garmin radar, autopilot, chartplotter, AIS tracking, dual VHF radios, depth sounder, and compass. A new joystick steering system and integrated Yacht Controller enhance close-quarters handling. Navigation and safety equipment includes new life rafts (eight and six person), re-certified fire system, and eight security cameras with alarm system.

Mechanical work has been substantial. The MTU engines received new gaskets, seals, and components. Both generators were rebuilt, and steering hydraulics were updated with new lines and rams. Additional upgrades completed in 2025 include new cutlass bearings, reconditioned propellers, shaft alignment, fresh bottom paint, and Prop Speed on running gear. New through-hull valves, watermaker rebuild, new windlass with chain, bow thruster, and all new batteries have been installed. Five heads service the vessel.
